Rules

HireBid is a public employment leaderboard. Rank is what you pay — nothing else. There is no résumé score, no upvote, and no editorial pick.

What you can list

• A LinkedIn profile (linkedin.com/in/…) if you are open to work or recruiting.
• A LinkedIn company page (linkedin.com/company/…) if you are hiring.
• An optional portfolio or GitHub URL. Chat invites and tracking links are stripped or rejected.

How rank works

• All-time is the main board. Rank is everything ever paid for that LinkedIn URL. It does not expire.
• Today is a rolling 24 hours. Each payment counts from the moment it is placed, then drops off a day later.
• Use the same LinkedIn URL to add to an existing listing. The name and headline update to whatever you submit with the new bid.
• Bids are whole US dollars, at least $2. To take a spot, pay at least $1 more than that listing’s total on the board you care about.
• Equal totals keep the older listing above the newer one.

Holding #1

• Whenever a bid makes you the highest all-time payer, you lock rank #1 for 72 hours.
• While your hold is active, nobody can take #1 from you on the all-time board — even if their total ends up higher than yours. They can still bid and climb the rest of the board, but the top spot won't move until your hold expires.
• Adding more money while you're still the top payer refreshes your hold to a fresh 72 hours.
• Once the hold expires, rank #1 goes to whoever actually has the highest total paid at that moment.
• The hold only applies to the All-time board. The Today (24h) board always reflects the last 24 hours of bidding with no hold.

Clicks

Your listing is public. Clicks on the name or LinkedIn link go to the profile you submitted. We count those clicks on the board.

Payments

This build uses a demo checkout. A completed bid is recorded locally so you can try the loop. Wire a processor before taking real money. Treat completed payments as non-refundable when you go live.

Conduct

• Do not impersonate someone else. List your own profile or a company you represent.
• No sexual content, scams, or “job” listings that are unpaid schemes.
• Paying for rank is not an endorsement of skill, culture, or job quality.
